How to give a Christmas gift

Give your friend a Christmas gift! This is such a wonderful experience! Do you remember the day when you've got your first Christmas gift?
Were you happy? I wonder, what was that.
Make your friends feel happy by giving them Christmas gifts!

How to choose a Christmas gift?

1. Know your friend's interest. If she/he loves dogs, it's useless to buy him/her a toy cat. If she/he is allergic to cheese, it wouldn't be nice to give him/her some cheddar cheese as a gift.

2. Make a budget. The rule is: The older and closer you are to him/her, the more expensive. That doesn't mean that you have to buy him/her a car. It means that if you aren't that good friends, you don't need to buy him/her such a costly present. A keychain, notepad or pen would be an ideal gift if your budget isn't that big.

3. Wrap it. The wrapping does count. If you wrap it up with newspapers, that doesn't seem too attractive. Tie it up with a ribbon and that'll be perfect.

4. Include a note or a card. No annonymous people here. It is rude to have people guessing about the giver.

5. Give it to the person directly. Don't ask someone to be the postman unless one of you lives in Australia and the other in Brazil. You'd definitely need a postman then.

Tips
Make sure your friends won't be unhappy with your gift. For instance, if your friend is a of a particular nationality, and you give him/her a joke book on that nationality, he or she probably won't like it very much.
